Carlos Albanil: School Social Worker Trabajador Social de la Escuela
Carlos was raised in Salinas and is excited to work with the students of Everett Alvarez High School. He received his Associates in Psychology from Hartnell College, Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from San Jose State University and his Masters in Social Work from San Diego State. He has experience working with youth of all ages and enjoys being a social worker. In his free time Carlos likes to eat, sleep and go on hikes.
Carlos se crió en Salinas y está emocionado de trabajar con los estudiantes de la preparatoria Everett Alvarez. Recibió su título de Asociado en Psicología de Hartnell College, Licenciatura en Psicología de San Jose State University y su Maestría en Trabajo Social de San Diego State. Tiene experiencia trabajando con jóvenes de todas las edades y disfruta ser trabajador social. En su tiempo libre a Carlos le gusta comer, dormir y hacer caminatas.
Alexis Magdaleno: Restorative Justice Facilitator Facilitador de Justicia Restaurativa
Alexis was born in Acambaro Guanajuato, Mexico and was raised in Soledad CA. He is the Restorative Justice Facilitator, which focuses on building and repairing relationships, at EAHS. Trained in both Joven Noble and Cara Y Corazon, Alexis has been facilitating cultural rites of passage groups in the community for the past 5 years. He transferred from Hartnell Community College to attend the University of California, Berkeley where he graduated with BA in Social Welfare in 2015. Alexis is motivated by his newborn son and wife to always be an example of healthy manhood. Alexis enjoys learning about native culture and fixing broken things around the house. Su hijo recién nacido y su esposa motivan a Alexis a ser siempre un ejemplo de un hombre saludable. Alexis disfruta aprender sobre la cultura nativa y arreglar cosas que se han quebrado en su casa.
Cindy Aldrete: CHS Counselor Drug Resource Specialist Consejera en prevención del uso de drogas y alcohol
Cindy is excited to be part of The Nest Team, Eagle Nation and working with students. She has received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Sacramento State University and has experience working with several K-12 institutions. In her free time she enjoys reading, trying new recipes, and catching up on TV shows/ movies. Cindy está emocionada de ser parte del equipo The Nest, Eagle Nation y de trabajar con los estudiantes. Recibió su Licenciatura en Sociología de la Universidad Estatal de Sacramento y tiene experiencia trabajando con varias instituciones K-12. Isell Chavarin: Intervention Specialist Especialista en Intervención
Isell is excited to work at Everett Alvarez and to meet everyone! She has worked with the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Francisco over the last seven years and worked for their summer camp program, Camp Mendocino. She did a lot of social emotional work with their youth and that work made it clear to her that working with youth is her passion. She wants to make sure our youth feel supported and heard. She enjoys reading, Marvel movies, traveling and hiking with her 3 year old German Shepard, Bucky. Isell está emocionada de trabajar en Everett Alvarez y conocerlos a todos. Ella ha trabajado en el Boys and Girls Club de San Francisco por los pasado siete años y trabajó en su programa de campamento de verano, Campamento Mendocino. Hizo mucho trabajo social emocional con la juventud y ese trabajo le deja claro que trabajar con la juventud es su pasión. Ella quiere asegurarse que nuestra juventud se sienta apoyada y escuchada. A ella le encanta leer, películas de Marvel, ir de viaje y hacer caminatas con Bucky su Pastor Aleman de 3 años.
Sandra Nieto: PBIS Clerk Secretaria de PBIS
Sandra is excited about being at Everett Alvarez High School and is looking forward to meeting you at The Nest. She was born and raised in Salinas and is very familiar with the community. Her involvement with youth includes being a volunteer at her children’s school and being a soccer coach. She enjoys walks on the beach, biking, hiking, traveling and spending time with her family.
Sandra está emocionada de estar en la Escuela Preparatoria Everett Alvarez y desea conocerlos en El Nido. Ella nació y creció en Salinas y está familiarizada con la comunidad. Su participación con la juventud incluye ser voluntaria en la escuela de sus hijos y ser entrenadora de fútbol. Le gusta pasear por la playa, andar en bicicleta, hacer caminatas, ir de viaje y pasar tiempo con su familia.
Julissa Palomino: School Social Worker Trabajadora Social de la Escuela
Hi my name is Julissa Palomino and I am a School Social Worker. I am very excited to join the wellness center as an additional support at Everett Alvarez High School. I am looking forward to being a support to students and their families with their social and emotional wellbeing. I have earned my AA degree in liberal arts with an emphasis in psychology at Hartnell College, bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology & Audiology at Sacramento State University, masters in Social Work at Simmons University, and credentialing at San Jose State University. I have experience working with children, adolescents and families in inpatient, outpatient and school settings. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, going on walks, and enjoying a good meal. Hola mi nombre es Julissa Palomino y soy Trabajadora Social Escolar. Estoy muy emocionada de unirme al centro de bienestar como apoyo adicional en la Escuela Secundaria Everett Alvarez. Espero ser un apoyo para los estudiantes y sus familias con su bienestar social y emocional. Obtuve mi título de AA en artes liberales con énfasis en psicología en Hartnell College, una licenciatura en patología del habla y audiología en la Universidad Estatal de Sacramento, una maestría en Trabajo Social en la Universidad Simmons y una acreditación en la Universidad Estatal de San José. Tengo experiencia trabajando con niños, adolescentes y familias en entornos hospitalarios, ambulatorios y escolares. En mi tiempo libre disfruto pasar tiempo con mi familia, ir a la playa, caminar y disfrutar de una buena comida.
